Chocolate Lab classes starting at 10:00 a.m.

Chocolate Lab tickets are available on a first come – first served basis and may be purchased at The Hershey Story admissions desk on the day of your visit. Due to COVID-19 regulations, masks are required inside the classroom. Please note that, depending on seats availability, more than one family could be seated at the same table. Children must be at least 5 years old to enter the Lab. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Chocolate Beach Bars
Celebrate summer by designing your very own sea shore-themed milk chocolate bar using plenty of “sand” and sea salt. Take a walk along our “chocolate beach boardwalk” as you learn about Hershey’s classics. Also find out where and how “cacao” is grown, harvested and processed into your favorite chocolate confections.
Ingredients: melted chocolate, crushed graham crackers, sea salt

11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Planet Chocolate
Learn some delicious geography by finding out more about the many places around the globe where cocoa beans are grown. You will be guided to recognize differences in cocoa beans’ appearance and taste and make your own unique bar to take home.
Ingredients: melted milk chocolate, cocoa nibs, crushed red pepper, cinnamon

12:30 to 1:15 p.m.
S’mores Galore
Have some summer fun as you make your own, sweet variation on S’mores (without the fire, of course). Learn the origins of this campfire confection and some Hershey’s trivia. You’ll also learn about chocolate from tree to graham cracker.
Ingredients: melted milk chocolate, mini marshmallows, crushed graham crackers.

2:00 to 2:45 p.m.
