DESCRIPTION:Kids 12 years old and younger can pretend to be a worker in Mr. Hershey’s chocolate factory as they wind their way through the Museum Experience and learn about the town that chocolate built. Their adventure begins with wrapping Hershey’s Kisses\, then decorating a candy bar wrapper. After exploring Hershey\, PA\, by viewing a miniature model of the town\, kids will be rewarded with a Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar\, courtesy of The Hershey Company (while supplies last). Included in Museum Experience admission. \n

DESCRIPTION:Chocolate Lab tickets are available on a first come – first served basis and may be purchased at The Hershey Story admissions desk on the day of the class. Space is limited.   Children must be at least 4 years old to enter the Lab.  \n10:15 to 11:00 a.m.\nPlanet Chocolate\nLearn some delicious geography by finding out more about the many places around the globe where cocoa beans are grown. You will be guided to recognize differences in cocoa beans’ appearance and taste and make your own unique bar to take home. \n11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.\nBow-Tied Bunnies \nHop in for a fun-filled adventure creating your own\, edible chocolate bunny to take home. Also hear the miraculous story behind the chocolate-making process from cocoa bean to bar.   \n12:45 to 1:30 p.m.\nBuild a Bar\nFollow in Milton Hershey’s footsteps as you design your own candy bar. Discover the business behind the product as you choose ingredients to add based on flavor\, appearance and your own preferences. \n2:00 to 2:45 p.m.\nChocolate Bird Nests\nCelebrate spring by making your own\, edible chocolate bird nest complete with eggs! Learn how “cacao” begins its journey from the rainforest to decadent white\, milk and dark chocolate varieties. This class is educational and uniquely fun. \n3:15 to 4:00 p.m.\nPlanet Chocolate\nLearn about the many places around the globe where cocoa beans are grown and how to recognize differences in “cacao” based on geographical origin. You’ll have an exclusive opportunity to taste and compare chocolates made with cocoa beans sourced from specific regions. Each participant makes a unique milk chocolate bar to take home.
