DESCRIPTION:Junior Girl Scout “Playing the Past” Badge Workshop \nSaturday\, March 7\, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. \nPurchase tickets here.\nEnjoy a morning of hands-on activities at The Hershey Story!  Girls will experience the many stories of Hershey through the eyes of girls and women who lived long ago.  In addition to exploring the exhibits\, Scouts will play old-fashioned games and create two crafts to take home. \nCost is $15 per Junior Scout and $15 per Leader/adult chaperone.* \nRegister and purchase tickets here beginning December 15\, 2025.\nLeaders/adult chaperones may be asked to assist with activities and all chaperones may not be able to participate in every activity.\nOnly Scouts and leaders will be permitted to participate in workshop activities.  Workshop registration includes Museum Experience admission for the day. \n*The Leader may be the Troop Leader\, parent or accompanying adult.  At least one adult is required to register and accompany each troop\, or individual Scout.  Extra adults and children may purchase Museum Experience tickets at the admissions desk on the day of the workshop.  The workshop does not include the badge. \nParticipation in this program does not qualify Scouts for a Hershey Story patch. To earn that patch\, Scouts must complete the “Scouting for History” guide and also participate in a public Chocolate Lab class or Chocolate Tasting. \nPlease email smhetrick@HersheyStory.org or call 717.520.5587 for more information.

SUMMARY:Chocolate Lab Classes beginning at 11:30am\, 1:15pm\, and 2:45pm
DESCRIPTION:Chocolate Lab tickets are available on a first come – first served basis and may be purchased at The Hershey Story admissions desk on the day of your visit. Classes are 45 minutes long.  Please note that\, depending on seats availability\, more than one family could be seated at the same table and big groups may be split. Children must be at least 5 years old to enter the Lab. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult. The Lab schedule\, and ingredients used in each class are subject to last minute changes. No foods or beverages will be permitted in the Lab. Only service animals will be allowed in the classroom. \n  \n11:30am to 12:15pm\nLucky Bark \nCelebrate March and make chocolate bark that’s sure to make you feel luckier! While learning all about the origins and production of chocolate\, you’ll use our selection of specialty toppings to make a treat that will have everyone else green with envy. \nIngredients: Melted milk chocolate\, honey candy\, powdered matcha mix\, shamrock sprinkles. \n  \n  \n1:15pm to 2:00pm\nPlanet Chocolate \nLearn some delicious geography by finding out more about the many places around the globe where cocoa beans are grown. You will be guided to recognize differences in cocoa beans’ appearance and taste. You will also make your own unique bar to take home! \nIngredients: melted milk chocolate\, cocoa nibs\, crushed red pepper\, cinnamon \n  \n  \n2:45pm to 3:30pm\nChocolate Medallions \nMilton Hershey developed his unique formula using a hand-selected blend of cocoa beans. Discover where this fruit comes from\, and how it is harvested and processed to become the chocolate we all love. Choose from a variety of ingredients and design your own flavorful chocolate treat. \nIngredients: melted milk chocolate\, a variety of toppings including seasonal sprinkles\, cocoa nibs\, mini marshmallows\, white chocolate chips\, crushed pretzels\, etc.
