SUMMARY:Boy Scout Indian Lore Merit Badge Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop Boy Scouts can explore the museum’s American Indian artifact collection and earn their Indian Lore merit badge. The intensive program includes a behind-the-scenes tour of collections storage. Scouts will also create replicas of three American Indian objects\, learn to play American Indian games\, and take an in-depth look at Susquehannock artifacts. Upon successful completion of the program\, merit badge counselors will sign merit badge forms. Cost is $15 per scout; leaders may accompany scouts at no charge. DESCRIPTION:Join the Hershey community to remember Milton Hershey on what would have been his 158th birthday. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket and enjoy a performance of music from Mr. Hershey’s era. The concert concludes with a sweet treat for all attendees. In case of inclement weather\, the celebration will be held in the Grand Lobby of The Hershey Story.  (ChocolateTown Square Park is located at the intersection of Chocolate and Cocoa Avenues.) \nBefore the party\, stop by the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company from 5:00 to 6:30 PM for a community celebration of founding member\, Milton S. Hershey. The public can tour the outside of the new fire station construction site\, enjoy a free hot dog\, Italian ice\, popcorn\, live music and kids’ activities including trying out the fire hose!

DESCRIPTION:Guests with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other special sensory needs have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed evening at the museum. They may enjoy interactive exhibits about Milton Hershey and the industry and town he created\, and a hands-on exhibit that recreates jobs in the original chocolate factory. A walk-up activity in the Chocolate Lab that includes making your own chocolate bar is included. A representative from ASERT Autism Resources will be available. A special price of $8.50 per person includes all activities; one adult is admitted free with each family or group. They may enjoy interactive exhibits about Milton Hershey and the industry and town he created\, and a hands-on exhibit that recreates jobs in the original chocolate factory. A walk-up activity in the Chocolate Lab that includes making your own chocolate bar is included.  A special price of $8.50 per person includes all activities; one adult is admitted free with each family or group.
