DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special hands-on program\,\njust for homeschool and virtual learning families! \nCandy Chemistry\nTuesday\, March 10\, 17\, 24 and 31 \nat 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.\nAll programs are the same.\nCalling all Candy Chemists! Do you like fun experiments? How about tasty treats? Come explore the exciting science behind how sugar is transformed to create the sweet treats we love to eat! Discover the difference between physical and chemical changes\, examine various crystal formations in food\, and understand how some candy gets its sour punch. There will be candy taste tests and lots of hands-on activities. Plus\, everyone will make their own science-themed chocolate creation to take home!\nCost: $17 for ages 3 and over.\nAges 2 and under are free.\nAll students\, parents\, siblings and chaperones\nare required to have a ticket.\nAll tickets are non-refundable. \nPurchase tickets here. \nAdmission to the museum is included along with an educational scavenger hunt through the exhibits. \nAll students (ages 3+) and adults are required to purchase a ticket. \nThe program will last about an hour. The scavenger hunt takes about 45-60 minutes\, so please plan on at least 90 minutes to 2 hours for the full experience. \nThis program is for homeschooling families. DESCRIPTION:Chocolate Lab tickets are available on a first come – first served basis and may be purchased at The Hershey Story admissions desk on the day of your visit. Classes are 45 minutes long.  Please note that\, depending on seats availability\, more than one family could be seated at the same table and big groups may be split. Children must be at least 5 years old to enter the Lab. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult. The Lab schedule\, and ingredients used in each class are subject to last minute changes. No foods or beverages will be permitted in the Lab. Only service animals will be allowed in the classroom. \n  \n10:45am to 11:30am\nEgg-citing Chocolate Bark \nCreate this egg-stra special chocolate bark\, by combining rich milk chocolate with white chocolate chips\, and adding Hershey’s Robin eggs\, pretzels sticks and spring sprinkles to make not only delicious\, but also fun! Satisfy your curiosity about the chocolate-making process through live narrative and colorful slides. \nIngredients: melted milk chocolate\, crushed pretzels\, Hershey’s Robin Eggs\, and seasonal sprinkles. \n  \n12:00pm to 12:45pm\nButterfly Bark \nCelebrate spring by assembling a beautiful butterfly from chocolate\, pretzels and candy that will make the warmer weather feel even sweeter! Guests will also get to learn about the chocolate making process from bean to bar; the perfect accompaniment for a delicious dessert! \nIngredients: melted milk chocolate\, white chocolate coated pretzels\, Twizzlers Pull n Peel\, candy coated sunflower seeds\, candy eyes. \n  \n1:45pm to 2:30pm\nMarshmallow Bunny Tails \nDunk giant marshmallows in melted chocolate\, and then roll in your selection of toppings.  Finish by packaging your custom marshmallow treat in a cute package to take home.  You’ll also learn some little-known facts about marshmallows and chocolate! \nIngredients: melted milk chocolate\, Jumbo marshmallow\, variety of toppings including crushed graham crackers\, crushed pretzels\, and colored sprinkles. \n  \n3:00pm to 3:45pm\nSpring Bar \nMold a scrumptious milk chocolate bar and turn it into a colorful spring treat with unique and completely edible Easter-themed decals.  Learn how cocoa beans are grown\, harvested and processed into your favorite kinds of chocolate. \nIngredients: melted milk chocolate\, Easter themed sprinkles
