Chocolate Lab classes starting at 10:15 a.m.

Chocolate Lab tickets are available on a first come – first served basis and may be purchased at The Hershey Story admissions desk on the day of the class. Space is limited. Children must be at least 4 years old to enter the Lab.

10:15 to 11:00 a.m.
S’mores Galore
Have some summer fun as you make your own, sweet variation on S’mores (without the fire, of course). Learn the origins of this campfire confection and some Hershey’s trivia. You’ll also learn about chocolate from tree to graham cracker.

Ingredients: melted milk chocolate, mini marshmallows, crushed graham crackers.

11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Art of Chocolate
Whether it’s milk, white or dark, making chocolate is a work of art. Learn the origin of chocolate and what are the ingredients used in each of its varieties. While getting the inside scoop on what makes chocolate so tasty, you will create your own “artwork” using three types of chocolates.

Ingredients: melted milk and white chocolate, dark chocolate chips.

12:45 to 1:30 p.m.
Chocolate by Design
Milton Hershey developed his unique formula using a hand-selected blend of cocoa beans. Discover where this fruit comes from, and how is harvested and processed to become the chocolate we all love. Choose from a variety of ingredients and design your own flavorful chocolate treat.

Ingredients: melted milk chocolate, a variety of toppings including roasted sun flower seeds, coconut flakes, raisins, white chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, etc.

2:00 to 2:45 p.m.
Planet Chocolate
Learn some delicious geography by finding out more about the many places around the globe where cocoa beans are grown. You will be guided to recognize differences in cocoa beans’ appearance and taste and make your own unique bar to take home.

Ingredients: melted milk chocolate, cocoa nibs, crushed red pepper, cinnamon

3:15 to 4:00 p.m.
