  • Sensory Friendly Event 9:30 a.m. – noon

    Sensory Friendly Morning at The Hershey Story
    9:30 a.m. – noon
    $9 per participant
    Tickets available for purchase at the front desk the day of the event, or in advance online.

    Guests with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other sensory-related sensitivities, and their families and caregivers, are invited to a morning of chocolate fun at The Hershey Story. In addition to molding a chocolate bar, participants will experience what it was like to work in the factory at the turn of the 20th century by hand-wrapping and weighing Hershey’s Kisses, and sorting and packing chocolate bars. Additional hands-on activities will include tasting and grinding cocoa nibs, and touching real cocoa beans and cocoa pods.  Activities will take place in the classroom. A calming room will be available.  Museum Experience included.

  • Sensory Friendly Chocolate Lab 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

    Guests with autism spectrum disorder and other sensory-related sensitivities, and their families and caregivers are invited to experience the Chocolate Lab in a relaxed setting. The Sensory Friendly Chocolate Lab will have walk-up activities, such as cocoa nib tasting, grinding cocoa nibs with mortar and pestles, and touching real cocoa beans and cocoa pods. Guests will also be given the opportunity to mold a milk chocolate bar. The program fee of $5 per bar applies only to participants who mold a chocolate bar.

    Separate admission fees apply to The Museum Experience, special exhibit and Tastings: Chocolate From Around the World.
